Dr. John Buhac has been with Albany Gastroenterology Consultants for more than a decade and has been a board certified physician for more than 20 years. Dr. Buhac is a graduate of Cornell University, where he received his bachelor of arts in biology. He received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Buhac completed his internal medicine internship and residency at New England Deaconess Hospital of Harvard Medical School and his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He also completed a second fellowship in advanced endoscopy at the Lahey Clinic.

Dr. Buhac is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease, and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America.

A native of Delmar, NY, Dr. Buhac currently resides in Clifton Park, NY with his wife and two children. He is an active board member of the Lake George Land Conservancy, a not-for-profit land trust dedicated to protect the quality of Lake George and to preserve its natural, scenic, historical and recreational resources. He enjoys windsurfing and skiing in his spare time.
