Mandeep Bhamra, MD is dual board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. After earning his medical degree from SRTR Medical College in Maharashtra, India, he completed his Internal Medicine training at National Health Service Hospitals in West London, United Kingdom and Temple University, Philadelphia. He completed a Gastroenterology and Advanced/Therapeutic fellowship from Albany Medical Center and Albany Gastroenterology Consultants. Dr. Bhamra has a passion for educational training and teaching and enjoys providing individualized and compassionate patient-centered care.

Some of his specialties include ERCP (Biliary and Pancreatic), Cholangioscopy and Pancreatoscopy, staging of esophageal, gastric, duodenal, ampullary, colo-rectal cancers in addition to evaluation of liver, pancreas and gall bladder.  In addition, Dr Bhamra has special interest in third space endoscopy which includes per oral endoscopic myotomy (POEM), endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD), submucosal tunneling and endoscopic resection(STER), endoscopic full-thickness resection(EFTR) and endoscopic suturing. The techniques involved in third space endoscopy are useful for achalasia, refractory gastroparesis, Zenker’s diverticulum, submucosal tumors, precancerous and cancerous lesions of the GI tract.

In his spare time, Dr. Bhamra enjoys hiking, running and working out and also loves to travel and experience different cultures.
