  • Served as the Chairman of various committees during her residency and fellowship, including Wellness committee, Research Committee (and founded the Gastroenterology Fellows & Residents Research Committee), Founded the Women’s Physicians-Day Annual Celebrations, and served as a representative of the House Staff Leadership Council and Program Evaluation Committee for consecutive years of her fellowship
  • Appointed the Chief Fellow of her Gastroenterology Training Program
  • Received the Dedication to Research and Excellence Award in Residency
  • Has won numerous presentation and poster presentation awards from the American College of Gastroenterology, Annual Gastroenterology Conference over the last 6 years
  • Received a “High Honors” mark for most of her clinical rotations during medical school and even received a Merit in Clinical Specialties Award whilst in London
  • Served as the Class President of Siena College and delivered the Commencement Speech in 2016

Specialties & Main Areas of Interest

  • Dr. Tagliaferri is a general gastroenterologist, treating most diseases in the gastrointestinal tract. Though she has a particular interest in small bowel and esophageal pathology, she enjoys caring for all patients and believes in an individualized approach.

Research

  • Has participated in research throughout her time in college, medical school, residency and fellowship, with work accepted to and presented at local, national and international conferences
  • Currently has over 100 publications and has a special interest in research pertaining to rare diseases, associations with inflammatory bowel disease, and therapeutic approaches to motility disorders
  • Dr. Tagliaferri has delivered numerous presentations to medical students and residents during her training and has a passion for teaching patients and young learners alike
