Just as it’s critical to understand your condition and treatment plan, it’s important to understand our fees and your payment responsibility and insurance coverage.
At Albany Gastroenterology Consultants, we work hard to keep our costs low while still providing you with the highest quality gastroenterology care. We are confident you’ll find the fees for our services are comparable to those charged by similar specialists in the area. Our fees are based on the services provided to you and a list of service fees is available upon request.
We participate in many insurance networks to provide as much coverage as possible for the services you need. However, insurance coverage varies by person and each patient is handled individually. So, it is important that you understand what your plan covers and how much of the payment you are responsible for at the time of service.
For example, sometimes an insurance company will not cover an office visit prior to a procedure when the patient comes to the doctor with no symptoms and is requesting a screening procedure. Denial of payment by your insurance company does not mean that you do not need to visit with the practitioner beforehand. Our doctors may recommend an office visit prior to the performance of a procedure, in order that the patient’s general health may be evaluated and so that the patient is well informed about any recommended procedure.
