Kara received her associate’s degree in histotechnology at SUNY Cobleskill before graduating from the University at Albany with a bachelor’s degree in human biology and chemistry. She went on to obtain training for her board certification as a Physician Assistant at Albany Medical College. 

She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and joined Albany Gastroenterology Consultants in 2022.  Kara’s primary role is acute gastroenterology care at St. Peter’s Hospital.
